Camper buyer protection should be part of the buying conversation, not an afterthought once a deposit has already been paid.

Buying a camper is exciting, but it is also a serious purchase. Australian buyers have every right to ask how their money is handled, when payments are due, who is building the camper, and what support exists after handover.

At JAG Camper, we have built our process around transparency, staged payments, in-house manufacturing, and direct support from the team that actually builds your camper.

Why Camper Buyer Protection Matters

Trust matters in the caravan and camper industry because a build is not usually an off-the-shelf purchase. Customers are often paying before they drive away with the finished product, so the payment structure and the business behind it really matter.

That is why our approach is simple. A customer should be able to see real progress, understand each payment stage, and know who is responsible for the camper after pickup.

General Australian consumer guarantees still apply when buying products and services, and the ACCC explains those rights here. Our buyer protection process is about adding practical transparency around the camper build itself.

A Debt-Free Business

JAG Camper carries no business debt. We are independent of commercial finance and do not rely on loans or creditors to operate.

That matters because your payment is not being used to service old debt, cover finance repayments, or fund someone else’s camper. Before you place your order, we have already paid for and own the core components that go into your build.

Every JAG Camper is built to order, for the customer who ordered it.

A Payment Structure Tied to Real Build Progress

JAG Camper’s payment structure is tied to real production stages.

We do not ask customers to pay most of their money upfront on a promise. Our payment process is tied to real production stages, so you can see meaningful progress before major payments are due.

The process starts with a 10% refundable production slot holding fee. This secures your build position while still giving flexibility before your camper enters production.

The first major payment of 45% is only due once your camper reaches structural completion. At that point, the chassis, electronics, walls, roof, and cabinetry are complete. We send progress photos and invite you to inspect the camper in person before that payment is made.

The final 45% is due in the week of pickup, once your camper is complete, finished, photographed, and ready for handover.

Built In-House in Brisbane

JAG Camper designs and manufactures its campers in-house in Brisbane. That is a major part of how we protect customers, both during the build and long after pickup.

Because we control the design and manufacturing process, we understand how each camper is made, fitted, repaired, and supported. If a replacement part is needed, we can supply it. If a customer is travelling interstate, we can work directly with a local caravan repairer and advise them on the best repair path.

That is very different from buying an imported camper through a reseller who may not control the parts, the manufacturing process, or the long-term support pathway.

Direct Support From the People Who Built It

Every JAG Camper is backed by a 5-year structural warranty. More importantly, support comes directly from JAG Camper.

If something needs attention, you are not dealing with a reseller chasing answers from a supplier overseas. You are dealing with the people who designed, manufactured, and assembled the camper.

That in-house knowledge makes support clearer, faster, and more practical.

What Buyers Should Ask Before Ordering a Camper

If you are comparing campers, here are useful questions to ask any manufacturer or seller:

  • How much do I need to pay before production starts?
  • Are payments tied to visible build progress?
  • Can I see photos or inspect the camper before major payments?
  • Does the business own the core components before taking orders?
  • Is the camper manufactured in-house or imported?
  • Who supports warranty claims after handover?
  • Can replacement parts be supplied locally?

These questions are not difficult or unreasonable. A good builder should welcome them.

Order With More Confidence

Buying a camper should feel exciting, not uncertain. Our buyer protection process is designed to give customers confidence from the moment they reserve a production slot through to the day they collect their camper.

With JAG Camper, you are ordering from a debt-free Brisbane manufacturer, paying in real build stages, seeing progress before major payments, and getting support from the people who built the camper.

That is what camper buyer protection looks like to us.
