JAG Camper – December Newsletter

Hello Jag Friends,
Since our last Newsletter in November, we have been working hard across many aspects of the business, most notably securing a new manufacturing facility in Brisbane, organising upcoming camping shows and product improvements. Checkout out everything we have been working on below!

A New Factory!

Moving in January, Come Say Hello!

We are excited to announce that we will moving into a new factory in Morningside, Brisbane in January 2024. This is major milestone for JAG Camper, allowing us to keep up with order demand and take our Australian camper manufacturing business to the next level! We invite our JAG friends to come by for a factory tour when we have moved in. Location and factory opening date will be announced soon.

Upcoming Camping Shows

If you are on the East Coast of Australia, we will be coming to a city near you! We will be attending many camping shows this year. We are aiming to attend shows in Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle, Canberra, Brisbane and Noosa early next year. We will send another email out when these dates are locked in.

We look forward to meeting you all!

Product Improvements

Our aim is to provide the best teardrop camper in the world, so we are always thinking of ways to improve the camper for our customers. We are always listening to customer feedback. Here are our most recent improvements!

1. Reduced Ball Weight to 80kg

We were hearing from some customers that their cars could not tow the JAG Camper due to our ball weight of 110kg. Therefore we have made a major design improvement by moving the wheels 300mm forward, dramatically reducing the ball weight of the camper to 80kg*. So now with a tare weight of 860kg and 80kg Ball weight, even the smallest of cars will be able to tow the JAG Camper with ease.

*new tow ball weight is a theoretical calculation, this will be confirmed through practical testing on the next JAG Camper build.

2. Reduced Door Height – Internal Accessibility Improved

Some people at our show showed a little bit of difficulty getting into the camper due to the height of the door. We have taken this feedback on and reduced the height of the door from 750mm to 570mm, an improvement of 570mm. This improves the internal accessibility of the camper significantly, allowing users to lay straight onto the comfortable queen mattress inside.

3. Airtent Gazebo Prototype Coming Soon

Work continues with the custom JAG quick inflate air tent gazebo, with a prototype being sent by our manufacturers soon! For those who are new to this newsletter, we are developing a custom air pole gazebo that is quick and easy to setup, seals to the camper to prevent water ingress and provides a massive living space in the kitchen section and both sides of the camper. We are looking at a quarter 2, 2024 release of this product, when we have more news we’ll update everyone!
